SurveySparrow wins IT Start-Up of the Year at 6th KMA NASSCOM IT awards

Kochi: SurveySparrow, a cloud-based customer experience platform, announced today that it is a proud winner of the IT Start-Up of the Year for 2019 at the 6th KMA NASSCOM IT awards. The award ceremony was jointly conferred by Kerala Management Association (KMA) & NASSCOM. The awards are conferred every year to companies based in Kerala, in appreciation of their outstanding work in the field of information technology. This year, the list of 25 plus entries had been whittled down to 3 by an eminent jury panel and the award was presented by Paul Antony IAS, Ex-Chief Secretary , Govt of Kerala.

The Kerala Management Association is one of the premier Management Associations in the country established in 1957 by a group of dedicated and enterprising management leaders. The association aims at bringing together corporate houses, educational institutions, practicing managers, business heads and dozens of the industry with a mission to build a vibrant management fraternity to usher in a professional management culture in the state. KMA is a charter member of the All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi. As a pioneer management association, KMA has been playing a pivotal role in the promotion and propagation of contemporary management principles and practices in Kerala for over half a century now.

SurveySparrow allows users to create and share mobile-first, conversational surveys which are highly engaging and user friendly. SurveySparrow is the world’s first survey software to offer both a conversational and form-like output, increasing the survey completion rate by 40%. The global online survey software market is valued at US$4.065 billion and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 11.25% to reach a market size of US$6.929 billion by the year 2022. The startup plans to take on its competitors with its unique spin on UI, moving surveys away from antiquated forms to conversations. The company is planning to hire extensively across engineering, product development, marketing, and inside sales in the coming months.

Based in the US, SurveySparrow was founded in October 2017 by Freshworks veteran Shihab Muhammed and ex-Zoho employee Subin Sebastian with offices in Kochi & Palo Alto. SurveySparrow has conducted over 20000 surveys till date and has over 10,000 customers in 108 countries including DiDi, PaySafe, FedEx, Deloitte Digital, SAP, and Siemens. The company recently raised $1.4 million in seed funding from Prime Venture Partners.
