More flight services will be arranged from the Middle East to Kerala in Onam season: V. Muraleedharan

KOCHI: V. Muraleedharan, the Minister of State for External Affairs said that additional flight services from the Middle East to Kerala will be arranged in the Onam season. “The Minister for Civil Aviation has assured that special services will be arranged to Kerala, thereby bringing down the ticket costs”, he said.

“The minister has also recognized the request for direct flights to Europe instead of connecting flights from the Middle East and has directed to conduct a study on the possibilities”, V. Muraleedharan added. He was inaugurating the 10th anniversary of the Pravasi Legal Cell.

“The Indian Community Fund for expats is being used effectively. In the past two months, there were no incidents where money was levied on a weight basis for the transportation of dead bodies from overseas. The Modi government is giving great recognition for the problems of expats. A contract has been made with over 60 countries that allow Indian prisoners penalized in foreign countries to complete their punishment in India”, V. Muraleedharan said.
